How she was forced to create this blog

I have always loved writing. I started writing at the age of thirteen and have been hooked since then. Growing up in a male dominated family, I was left with no one to share my ideas and emotions with. My mother, whom I call "Ate", is not the typical mother-confidante type. My Mama, who is actually my grandma, is a sweetheart but she would freak out if she heard I had a crush on someone!

So I started turning those thoughts and experiences into poems. I recall the title of my first poem, Teenager, which summed up my struggles and wonders at the age of thirteen. Since then, my notebook and my pen had been a constant companion, always ready to listen whenever I was overwhelmed, blissful or confused about something. It's a shame I lost my first notebook, it had my writings from 2004-2008(if any of my high school folks found it, I will be delighted to be reunited with a long lost friend).

We can't cry over spilled milk they say, so I started writing again. I have not thought about creating a blog because I wanted to write my own book before I die and the internet is not a very safe place for intellectual properties. So why create this blog now?

I don't have much choice, do I? Today's world is dominated by the internet and I am not immune to that. I figured I wanted to try writing jobs online for a change(from my boring office-based life), and the employers kept asking about a link to my own blog or website. So here I am, creating my blog and writing my very first blog post which have been postponed for far too long.

This blog will be about my day to day experiences, escapades and encounters. It is a no-holds barred, open-minded, mind-fuckingly honest page so be prepared to read something you may not like. 😏
